To achieve this, Literacy Lane uses explicit, systematic, and carefully-sequenced instruction that helps children develop and connect the visual, cognitive, and language processes required for efficient reading.
Each lesson focuses on building skills such as:

• recognising common spelling and letter patterns
• developing vocabulary and word meaning
• learning about parts of speech and how language works
• exploring roots, prefixes, and suffixes
• applying these skills directly to reading connected text
