Her passion for helping children thrive led her to complete an Honours in Learner Support through the University of North West, followed by a Master’s in Educational Support at the University of Stellenbosch.

She is currently expanding her specialist training with a Remedial Education Award in Literacy and Dyslexia through the British Dyslexia Association.

In 2024, Shiree founded Literacy Lane — a dedicated literacy support space where children receive personalised, compassionate guidance to build confidence, strengthen their reading and comprehension skills, and feel empowered in the classroom and beyond.

Literacy Lane also partners with schools to offer talks to parents on literacy topics, encouraging collaboration between home and school in supporting each child’s learning journey.
